...autumn is just around the corner, perfect timing for ghd together with brand fashion week ambassador, Eugene Souleiman to unveil their AW18 trends, showcased here to inspire you for the new season!
Play it by ear
Models showed hair that had been encouraged to move when they walked down the catwalk with the help of strong partings, loose waves and a simple tuck behind the ears. By leaving a section of hair in front of the ear, it takes the look from functional schoolgirl to edgy tomboy.
“At first glance this hair is simple but in reality it’s very nuanced. The parting lends sharpness, the wisps a soft rawness” Eugene Souleiman
As seen at OlivierTheyskens, Dion Lee and Ellery
Projecting elements of new pop culture and turning to space for inspiration, the variety of AW18 bobs was something to feast our eyes on. The gloss and shine of the hair was quite literally out of this world.
“When perfection becomes more than perfection it appears to be unreal” Eugene Souleiman
As seen at Jeremy Scott, Moschino, Marc Jacobs
Lived-in hair was on repeat with done-but-not-done tresses dominating the catwalks throughout AW18. ‘Watch me as I walk’ hasty hair provided another brilliant beauty look that celebrated women’s individuality, at their most comfortable and cool.
“Not a generic look, instead it’s more celebratory of what the models naturally have” Eugene Souleiman
As seen at Preen, Tommy Hilfiger, Missoni and Olivier Theyskens
The new wet look
For Each x Other AW18, hair was gently swept across the face and looked wind-blown for a messier finish. Texture and body was added at the roots and ‘just-out-of-the-water’ separation was created at the ends. An imperfect side-parting and flyaway wisps over the forehead and in front of the ears finished off the look.
“It’s ‘wet just out of the shower’ hair with a raw tough and youthful feel” Eugene Souleiman
As seen at: Preen, Each x Other, Erdem and Prada
