RUSH, forward-thinking as ever, have embraced the freedom and creativity of art into their new colour service that sees colourists renamed COLOUR ARTISTS and the release of an exciting new art inspired collection to mark this move.
The groud-breaking new initiative was unveiled recently by RUSH International Colour Director, Chris Williams and International Creative Director, Andy Heasman at the RUSH Academy in central London. At its heart is the motto ‘colour is life’ and with the emphasis on art and artists, RUSH have teamed with street and urban artist Matt Small who has already created art work to grace the walls of RUSH Westfield and Moorgate salons. Using Matt’s work as an inspiration, centring on his use of colour and colour themes RUSH has created their own in-salon colour menus. Matt has also worked with the group to produce the new Colour Artists logo and branding which will be used in salon.
The collection which embodies the new ethos, includes two artist inspired looks and four accessible looks. Using L’Oréal Professional products and featuring techniques such as ombré, balayage, global colour, highlights and hues based on the colour predictions for AW19 such as vanilla and grey and Pantone colour of the year, Living Coral. One of the looks incorporates a stunning new technique termed ‘Swaving’ by Tina Farey, Editorial Director at RUSH, a fresh evening look featuring the S Wave. All unique to RUSH.
With these looks available in salon from 23 April, everyone is able to indulge in a bit of art appreciation and there will be colour menus and brochures for clients to choose from.
